Be forewarned, I don’t have a favor to go with this story.  The “favor” of passing along these little morsels of idiocracy will have to suffice.

If you wade your way through the ad inserts in the Atlanta Journal Constitution today, you will see some pretty witty writing by some pretty smart journalists, and some stories about some pretty stupid people.  I find myself needing to share…

Teen allegedly stealing when he was burned

Here’s a safety tip if you’re planning to rip off copper wiring:  make sure the power is off.

An Acworth teenager was in stable condition at GM Hospital with severe burns to his hands and arms.  Capt. Wayne Dennard, an Acworth police spokesman, said several teens broke into <a building> late Thursday, despite security lights (can you see where this is leading?  Lights = the power is on).  The 17-year-old received a shock, police allege, when he tried to to remove components from an electrical panel in the vacant building.  The other intruders ran off.  A passer-by saw smoke coming from the building and called 911.

That’s an excerpt, some details deleted for brevity.  Stupid just doesn’t need a lot of detail, now, does it?

Here’s my personal favorite…

Woman’s boyfriend and husband live under same roof until fight by Tim Eberly (god bless him)

…Until Sunday, 35-year-old CR lived in an apartment in south-west Atlanta with two men she identified as her husband and live-in boyfriend…

Both were arrested after they got into a fight at their apartment…possibly because one got jealous of the other.

The husband, TL, 25, was arrested on charges … and released Tuesday on bond.

The boyfriend, MR, 21, is facing two felony charges…got out of jail Thursday after posting bond.

The incident happened at 11:30 am Sunday.

CR told police that she and her husband TL were having sex in her bedroom while MR was sitting in the living room…

Apparently that didn’t sit well with MR.  He got angry and demanded that CR and TL let him in the bedroom, the report said.  MR somehow got into the bedroom and pushed TL…

TL returned the favor, pushing MR into a table lamp…

MR then picked up a glass vase and hit TL in the face…

TL retaliated by getting a knife and trying to stab MR several times…

When the police got there, one was taken to the hospital and the other to the jail, where he was soon joined by the first participant.

As for CR, the center of attention so to speak, when contacted by the AJC by phone, said neither TL or MR co-habited with her anymore, and that she was “just not going to worry about it”.  After apologizing for having to cut the conversation short because she was entertaining guests, she asked the reporter to call her back later.  Guess who didn’t answer the phone later?

You can’t make this stuff up, folks.  You just can’t.

Celebrating Stupid today.
